Prices checked 30 September 2026: Motorsport UK licence fees (2026 National Competition Rules), ARKS, control tyre prices from UK importers and kart shops (including KKC Kart Components), and each club's own price list. Engine servicing and rebuilds aren't priced: they depend on what the engine needs. Where a price is published without VAT, we add 20%. Motorsport UK says to expect to spend from around £1,500 on equipment and licence tests, with owner-driver race entries typically from around £80 to £150. Motorsport UK guide
